About SFT
Smart Farmers and Transformation (SFT) is a well-established non-governmental organization with extensive experience in implementing Agroforestry and Sustainable Land Management (SLM) projects. In collaboration with Vi Agroforestry, an international organization, SFT has successfully executed various projects under the ALIVE and ASILI-B programs. These initiatives focus on promoting sustainable agricultural practices that integrate environmental conservation and improved livelihoods for local communities.
In addition to these ongoing projects, SFT and Vi Agroforestry are also jointly implementing the "Emiti Nibwo Bulora" carbon offsetting project. This initiative is designed to enhance land management practices through the strategic planting of trees. By adopting sustainable agroforestry techniques, participants in the program are not only improving their land's productivity but also gaining access to carbon revenue streams. This project underscores the potential of agroforestry as a solution to both environmental and economic challenges, enabling communities to contribute to climate action while generating sustainable income.
